The Hitachi Aries ELITE sets the highest standard for patient comfort and image quality in Orthopaedic, Neurological, and Vascular exams. This is an advanced Mid-Field Open MRI that provides exceptional quality with its powerful Gradients and Sub-millimeter resolution. The innovative open air design permits constant and direct attention of the patient as well as accommodating the anxious and claustrophobic patient alike. An x-ray (radiograph) is a noninvasive medical test that helps physicians diagnose and treat medical conditions. Imaging with x-rays involves exposing a part of the body to a small dose of ionizing radiation to produce pictures of the inside of the body. Southwest X-Ray provides a complete radiography suite. Lower gastrointestinal (GI) tract radiography, also called a lower GI or barium enema, is an x-ray examination of the large intestine, also known as the colon. This examination evaluates the right or ascending colon, the transverse colon, the left or descending colon, the sigmoid colon and the rectum. The appendix and a portion of the distal small intestine may also be included. Upper gastrointestinal tract radiography, also called an upper GI, is an x-ray examination of the pharynx, esophagus, stomach and first part of the small intestine (also known as the duodenum) that uses a special form of x-ray called fluoroscopy and an orally ingested contrast material called barium.
Excellent image quality at lower radiation dose. An extensive range of routine and advanced clinical applications. Enhanced patient accessibility with a wider gantry aperture and 500lb table capacity.
The Philips Adac Dual Head camera offers speed and accuracy for total body imaging including Cardiac perfusion studies. Nuclear medicine uses a small amount of a radioactive substance to produce two or three dimensional images of body anatomy and function. We can assist your physician in viewing, monitoring, or diagnosing: • Tumors • Blood flow and function of the heart • Respiratory and blood-flow problems in the lungs • Organ function – of the kidney, bowel, gallbladder and others such as bone imaging
The Hologic Selenia DIGITAL mammography system is available to our patients. This is a state of the art system that incorporates digital Computer Aided Detection (CAD). When CAD is activated, it provides clinicians with R2 CAD, an added tool for the recognition of cancers at earlier stages. Selenia digital mammography is leading in the transition from outdated analog equipment. More than a single technology, Selenia represents an integrated suite of technical advances, pushing the science of mammography forward. Southwest X-Ray provides a secure, private and convenient mammography suite, with personal attention to every patient. We don’t utilize uncomfortable vans in the parking lot.
Bone density scanning, also called dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry (DXA) or bone densitometry, is an enhanced form of x-ray technology that is used to measure bone loss. DXA is today’s established standard for measuring bone mineral density (BMD). DXA is most often used to diagnose osteoporosis, a condition that often affects women after menopause but may also be found in men. Osteoporosis involves a gradual loss of calcium, as well as structural changes, causing the bones to become thinner, more fragile and more likely to fracture. OnePass Technology Hologic Discovery T system is powered by the exclusive OnePass T technology. OnePass single sweep scanning delivers superior image quality and unparalleled precision resulting in superior image quality and data stability.
We provide specialized exams for breast imaging, pediatric, vascular and musculoskeletal ultrasounds. Our noninvasive Vascular Laboratory is one of the key components of our ultrasound services.
